- Spybot: Spybot runs a check on your entire system for malicious malware, spyware, adware, and bots; then, it destroys them. For best results (and to keep your system spyware-free), I recommend Spybot about once a week.
- Ad-Aware: I've used Ad-Aware for years, and it's a great tool. All you do is pick the depth of your system scan and go. Personally, I do a deep system scan about once ever two weeks, and a "lighter" scan about once a week.
